ok .....so...... who's to say that i couldnt just have my 4g reflashed for a dif vin.. or is the lower left display different on the 6g.... could the dealer do this on a bench with a harness ..cause when i had the radio done the dealer had to have it in the pkup before they would do it... ther fore bak to the end result of using my vin again if they had to have cluster instaled before being flashed

not to mention finding a cluster with 15k on it may be a bit of a rabbit outa the hat trick (if you know what i mean). unless i just get a new one... dont think the dealer can take miles off the clock can they?
im sure if i did it thru the ebay vendor i can tell em what ever i wanted to.. they sent me a price of 300 with a 100 deposit so i could just keep my 4g

options mine has are pwr window, locks, heated mirriors, single zone hvac, dic, tc/stabilitrack. no power seats thou connections are ther from what i can see.. when i installed the dic it went rite to working..

 

Find a brand new never programmed cluster on ebay take it to dealer and have them install it and flash everything for your truck as it sits correct vin and correct mileage. chances are you will show temp when complete. If it doesn't show temp when you get it back hand them a 6 gauge VIN correct year as yours and semi close option wise and tell them to reflash the cluster to that VIN. If yours is a v6 you need to find a truck with a 4.8 so the V8 v4 bs is not present in the DIC when the cluster is reflashed.

 

thanks man now the seach for the vin and shake the money tree a bit and we shal find out if it works or not.. gues im gona have to do some dealer lot surfing for a vin# unless somebody has one thats close to mine for options with the six guage cluster option that would be willing to let me try ther vin..
