Due to the fact it was discontinued they meaning GM finally decided to refund the full purchase price of the cover including tax.

Looking at a LEER or a ARE LSX Ultra to replace this GM POS. Anyone have pros or cons to either cover. They are both nice looking covers and just having a hard time deciding on which company to go with.

After this last fiasco I am after the lifetime structure and finish warranty on my next purchase.
Look up Astro out of Fort Worth. Had one on my Sonoma and it was perfect for the three years I had it. (Truck was killed in an accident)

My dad has a lock'n'roll and he hates it! It really isnt the right solution in my opinion. it seems cheap and was a b!tch to install. it performs alright but he wouldnt buy another.

I have a bakflip and love it. if I didnt use my bed to haul a bunch of stuff, I would go for a fiberglass tonneau like the one you're replacing because they look so good colour matched to the body.

good luck with your purchase

Mines the equivalent of our family suburban but it's our road vehicle and my personal driver. Get groceries move furniture etc type stuff 5.5 foot bed is worthless except for a family mover carrying suitcases and toys to grandmas etc these new trucks just aren't work trucks. Which is why I really need and like the one piece full tonneau for my situation.
I've got a 98 k3500 4x4 BBC my dad and brother and I swap back and forth with when it's time to get stuff done and move big stuff and major hauling

I'll check them out as well. I'm doing a lot of looking and asking before parting with my money this time. I am super disappointed with the GM cover an d the chicken **** attitude those ****** had concerning covering a legitimate failure and 3 months to boot really makes me sore as hell over the whole thing.

Some dealerships are way better to deal with than others....sometimes showing up when the right guy is working the counter can make the difference between a good and bad experience with warranty work.

I'm directly knocking the ****** at gm we are a family owned/ran dealer so the dealer equation isn't where the issue was.

Decided to roll with a ARE LSX Ultra ordered it today. I looked at a lot of the ones everyone here talked about and I can see where each one has a niche depending on how you are going to use your truck. Thanks for the ideas as always.

I'm not speaking about quality of product, more about quality of service. If you have a knowledgeable person working the counter with a sense of customer satisfaction, than you might get the service expected and deserved.

You might run the tightest ship of any GM dealership, but you have zero control over the attitude of the dealer halfway across the country, which may be run by cheap, ruthless ********.
