Does anyone know if the 8.25 ifs diffs in obs are the same as the nnbs and will bolt in. Cant find any info my truck has 3.08 so will need a carrier to regear for 4.88. I want to buy a diff from junkyard to rebuild out of the truck to swap in and obs axles are alot cheaper.

Will not be a direct fit. The mounting points might be close enough to make them work, but the NNBS has the most narrow diff center, and therefore the longest axles. So at the very least you'll be cussing a lot and buying new axles to fit the OBS center. I have nothing to back up my claim about mounting points.

i plan to reuse my axles and axle tube, just need to know if the center section mounting points are the same and the case.

The half ton NNBS front axle is the longest of the 3 pre-2014 trucks.
