Default Nnbs maf vs ve help

Guys Im so confused about MAF OR VE OR BOTH. I want to tune my fueling but cant seem to find solid answer on how to do it. Some say MAF ONLY and some say SD and some say both. The problem with MAF only is all the guides I find are saying tune VE first and I cant find a guide I trust to help with the virtual VE. Can I tune MAF with out tuning VE? I know you guys have been here so what did you do and where can I find a good guide on how to do it? Im open to all suggestions and also I dont have one yet but will have a Wideband in the next few weeks. I also down loaded a program called bluecat but havent figured out how to use it or if its what I need? thanks in advance

i've tuned my denali with a MAF only tune and fueling is great... I'm waiting for HPT's to release their next full version where hopefully there'll be a virtual VE added into the program... once that happens I'll be tuning my VE from then on...
