need muffler recommendations for 09 Sierra denali

Default need muffler recommendations for 09 Sierra denali

what re you guys running on yall 6.2 ext and crew cabs?i want something not too loud at all but that can perform of course...i was lookin at a 3.5 magnaflow 22' long? http://www.summitracing.com/parts/MPE-12909/

Almost everyone here runs magnaflow. Try going on youtube and hearing the different sounds. Mine sounds awesome just too loud cuz i dumped it.

i think muffler are one of the harder items to make a suggestion...way too may variables and preferences...i have a large dynomax sounds pretty good piped all the way to the bumper to lessen any drone

Corsa touring here. They are straight through design and are not loud at all.

thanks for sharing that vid,it sounds nice.yea think a corsa would be around 900bucks or so...why stock muffler^^? wasnt there a thread here where sum1 cut a oem muffler open?

I cut open a stock muffler last year.
It does have chambers and baffles and 2.5 inch inner tubes, but it does support 400 stock hp pretty well.
Also the tail pipe resonator has no baffles and should not change flow, only sound.

On my 6.2, the first thing I did was headers and cats, sounded good, better than stock, deeper.
Then I removed the resonator in the tailpipe, got a little louder but changed the sound of the muffler, it got buzzy, like you could hear baffles rattling.

Then I did a 3.5 inch catback and then spent a fair bit of time trying to make it quiet enough for me as a daily driver.
