Next 6000 miles will decide.

Well as manny of you may know my 09 gmc sierra had a oil consumtion problem and the dealer did a what I hope to be real fix. At 500 miles after this latest fix the oil has not gone down. However last time thay did the fix the oil did not burn for 2 full oil changes until it consumed oil agin after 6000 miles. Eny way I have made up my mind if the engine starts burning oil agin after the next 6000-7000 miles after this latest fix I will sell the truck because I dont want to pay for a rebuild if the engine takes a dump when the warrenty ends. I guess time will tell. If I do sell the truck im going to waight to buy another one untill GM releases there next generation Trucks in 2014. I hope thay look good. I have also herd rumers of a 5.5L direction injection v8 a whole new engine and I dont think it will have AFM I hope. Eny way what say you guys sound like a good idea?

Sounds like these new engine are a hit or miss on the oil consumption deal.. Mine seemed to use a little oil when it was younger. Havent noticed it using any now. I guess beating on it constantly helped :)
