Who cares what the cars run stock. The overwelming majority of people on here will mod them anyway. Also, I dont quite understand why people say the mustang is a better car because it has a smaller motor. If it was up to me the camaro would have a cheaper version of the LS7 (7.0 427ci) minus the expensive drysump, ti rods, and ti valves. Theres no replacement for displacement imo.

I'm not a fan of fords at all, but DS shows +20hp +45tq on a dyno from a CAI and tuner. That's some damn good gains! I've always known ford to squeeze all they can out of their cars! Like the original 5.0 that has factory headers. Not great headers but way better than manifolds.

The ford squeezes more out of it from the factory...true.
The Chevy...all Chevy's are rediculously detuned from the factory. Even without a CAI, but just a tune you can see not quite those numbers but close.
Then you add the CAI and change the manifolds out with a full exhaust...money!

Very valid point...no one really gets a real sports car to keep it stock except the real old guys that just got it cuz they couldn't afford it when they could enjoy it.

I hate gmpartsdirect's absurd shipping prices.

I dunno, I'm there now getting some adjustments made, I'll ask. I'm going to find out how much TM he pulled out also. I'm just getting the line pressure turned down a bit. It's a bit high for my taste. My 1-2 shift roasts the tires and a bit too firm while cruising.
