well as you all know the truck is up for a few upgrades, mods as you can call it

now i think its time to let the cat out the bag since ive been hiding it for about 2-3 weeks now

as you all know i swapped the 6.2 into my 08 CC and its got a best of 12.73 @ 104.54mph with a crappy 1.76 60' now its time for a few upgrades over the next month or two depending funds.

i go Wed or Thurs to pick up my 2009 6L80e with 19k miles on it. ill be ordering a gmpartsdirect.com 6.2 engine wiring harness so i can run the 6spd. it wont have the manual shifter/newer gauge cluster just yet but it will get it sooner or later. im going to run a stock stall for now bc the single disc is freaking 800.00 and the triple disc is 1,000.00 all money i dont have thanks to this upgrade. im in the process of chasing down a slip yoke but no luck so far we'll see though.

i will have a write up of everything that i can and include part numbers for everything i buy/need. i will answer all the questions i can thanks to the advice of Denali-08. once again man, THANK YOU for all of your help.

i will be building a 2 peice d-shaft with a custom carrier bearing bracket with a safety loop. MadMan will get my truck for the carrier bearing bracket and safety loops asap. i think i will let Driveline in Baton Rouge, La build my d-shaft since he has a computer operated balance machine and his work is great!

so who's ready to see a completed 6.2/6spd swap into an 08?

yep. the 6spd 1st gear with 3:42s is like running 4:10s in a 4spd. i already have 4:10s bc i had a 4 spd.
anyone wanna do the math to figure out what my first gear would be like?
i think that'd be enough to get me rolling and still get descent gas mileage. id be happy if this thing went 13.0 with a stock 6spd and stock converter BUT we'll see when i finally get it up and running

I cant wait to see you do the 6L80 swap. Its about time someone did an actual write up for everyone to see. Good luck with the new project, should make your truck that much more fun.
