Default Need Pics--Tranny Cooler

Ok, TXSilverado and I were trying to install his B&M 28000 Tranny cooler in my truck yesterday after work but ran into a little snag. We have it all mounted up, but the lines are not tied in yet.

The Nipples we had, the same size that had fit his truck, which should have fit mine-his is an older bodystyle--did not fit. Any of you guys with a NNBS and either the stock tranny cooler or aftermarket it you have upgraded, could you get me some pics of the lines, I think both the hard lines that run into the passenger side of the radiator are the tranny lines, but want to make sure before I go removing stuff. Also, if you have added one aftermarket, what size nipple did you use, or some other type of connection.

Pics are encouraged.

Yes they are. Tried to take pics, don't show much. But coming from the tranny the lines are on top of each other. Lower line runs forward to the lower connection on the rad, upper line runs forward to the pass side of the cooler, then the line off the other side of the cooler runs back and into the top connection on the rad.

I have pics if they would help, PM me with e-mail or post it here. They might help.

Was doing all sorts of looking on past threads about installing the trans coolers and man. I like to consider myself somewhat mechanically inclined, but all this reading has my head spinning. Does anyone happen to know what size the fittings are or need to be on the transmission return line coming out of the radiator? I know the ones that Stewart had on his truck-I believe brass threaded nipples-were not the same size as on mine. I think this would be the easiest way to install the lines without having to cut the stock lines and flaring the ends of the hard lines.

the lines that are on the radiator's truck side are the quick release kind.

do you mean the little brass fittings that come with the tru-cool cooler...they wouldn't work on my truck either. i've got a thread on how i did mine somewhere around here...looks pretty good and easy to reverse if needed

I went to the autoparts store and bought a quick disconnect tube end like the one that goes into the radiator, It had to be ground down a little bit but it fit like factory and it was even bent so hook up was easy. Sorry I don't have the part number, but just measure the size and tell the parts guy what you need...
