Mistakingly put unprogrammed key on ignition now no starr
I got a key cut yesterday for my 2007 Yukon Denali 6.2 . I was changing the fuel injectors and went to try to start but I used the unprogrammed key now the trick is in antitheft mode and the original key won't work anymore now. The passlock symbol is blinking.

I know on the older vehicles you could turn the ignition on with a good key, leave it for 10min, turn it off, then back on for 10min, do that 3 times total and then attempt to start the vehicle. It should relearn the key. You may want to hook up a battery charger while you do this.

Just to update, I had it running the same day. I learned when putting an unprogrammed key in ignition it induces tamper mode. I locked the truck And armed the alarm and let it sit for twenty minutes. When I came back afterwards it started. Now my steering wheel is vibrating and I smell my front brakes burning. It's like it's one thing after another with this damn thing. I might sell it but I don't know if I'll be able to find another black on black Yukon Denali again.
