manual tranny 08' issue
i recently swapped my venezuelan 08 silverado to a manual transmission but i wont pass 4000 rpm, i know the truck needs to be retuned but, to get a tune i have to travel across the country like 5 hours, and the school wont let me take the time to do it until february i think, so theres any way i can fool the computer to make the truck runs like theres a stock 4l65e in there..
it would go more than 4000 part throttle but full throttle it stops at 4000
thanks in advance and sorry for my bad english!

Might try asking black bear if they can do anything for a mail order tune for you? At least you could do an autocal/email the tune and load it if they might be able to do it?
I think there are very few people that have swapped to a manual trans in the NNBS trucks, not sure whats involved on the tuning side.

Without a retune I'm thinking the only way to get around the limiter would be to fool the pcm by sending it the signal of either being in gear or utilizing the neutral gear switch off the left side of the transmission. Granted once the switch is clicked into a gear its doubful you'd be able to engauge the starter. Perhaps the wiring changes needed can be found by searching the 4l60 - 4l80 swap threads for the pinout of the neutra safety switch.

Hooking up the PRNDL wont do it because the TCM is still looking for an input from the input speed sensor output speed sensor and freaking the frick out due to all of the missing solenoids and has stored solenoid codes and then goes into further defaults which are broadcast to the pcm to limit RPM and in some cases even speed.
