Im using Hptuners. This engine is in a swap car with a t56 and its an 07 Escalade 6.2L with an EPS custom grind VVT cam.
Due to the complexity of getting the thing to simply just function with the t56 and retain VVT HpTuners had to make a new beta just for me LOL. So the latest revision came from all the damn problems I was having getting this thing sorted out. I eliminated the BCM and TCM from the system and had a HELL of a time getting it out of safety mode etc. Anyways long story short I do things in steps to avoid too much complexity whenever possible so I had planned this MAF card swap from the beginning but didnt install it until yesterday. Ive been driving the car for a while now I had it running well last fall but just recently due to weather can drive it again and work out the tune. I dont have WB equipment so im meeting up with a local tuner whos a friend of mine and we are going to dial in the last of it this Saturday hence my installing these type of mods now. Ive done a lot of things to this build but I can honestly say no single thing made as much improvement in top end power as the LS7 MAF swap did.
Goes to show you just how much air these mothers move through them that the stock truck MAF is very restrictive. Down low it didnt seem to make much difference but after 4500 RPM or so? Yeee hawwww
I shift at 6800 but frequently hit 7K

Ive probably Logged 20-30 hrs of stuff thus far LOL.
Seriously this thing was a BIATCH to get running right in this particular application. If I had of ditched VVT it would have been easy I could have simply started with an LS3/t56 ecm and base tune and go but starting with the Caddy system was tricky as the TOS link communications are looking for go signals that simply are not there and a lot of things with the e38 are hard coded into the ECM so its a bastard. Now that Ive done this swap I wouldnt do another Id stick with the 24x based systems as they were much easier to command mods with.
As for the intake if need be I can swap the stock one back in in literally 2 or 3 minutes if it turns out we need to but my tuner friend is a pro and knows this stuff inside and out so very unlikely that we will have to.
