I had the same experience when I cleaned mine the other day. I had bees, bugs and all kinds of crap stuck in the folds! They catch a shitload of dirt, because they take the air from the front by the radiator. Just clean it every couple of months, especially if you live in a dry, dusty environment. Like I said on here before, the VaraRam isn't the nicest looking, has fitment issues (rubs the E-fan assembly on my truck) and is subpar on quality (dyer hoses), but it flat works. Mine picked up power noticeably (SOTP) over the Volant.

looks like its working pretty good but should clean it more often. If you want to find out if its working take it off and inspect the intake tube and inside the intake for any dust or dirt build up.

i find all kinds of wierd crap in mine with the ram air. cigarettes, bugs, pine needles...its a treasure hunt when i open my air box.
