livernois dyno tune

I live in Michigan and looking to get my ccsb 4x4 with a 6.2 dyno tuned and was wondering if anyone has had livernois motorsports tune their truck. I know they are very repitale in car performace. They want 650 for a dyno tune, is it worth the money, and they need the truck for at least 8 hrs.

the place I am taking my truck here in NC is $150 an hour so $650 for 8 hours is a good deal. The question is how long will it take them to really tune the truck? Maybe some of the other guys that have had their trucks dyn tuned can speculate on the amount of time it takes. At $150 an hour I pray mine doesnt take 8 hours. It might help to if you list what mods you have for example forced induction or nitrous will take longer then CAI and headers.

For the Love of God, man! You can get HP tuners for that money and then still be able to tinker on and on. The learning curve is a bit steep, but well worth it.........

I love the quote about the troops, I'm behind them all the way just not behind our goverment, I done alot of research and my opinion is those hand held tuners are good for one thing [ to tune your truck back to stock in case you need to take it in for service] . a custom dyno tune you get real results, the only thing done to the truck is a k&n cai. They claim I might get 1-2 mpg better on the freeway, not really looking for that but will be nice concidering I drive 30k a year

He means buy the HPTuners software and tune the truck yourself on a laptop.
If you are not inclined to do that , a good dyno tune is the way to go.

thats a ton of money for just a tune. I'd just get a mail order from one of the sponsors for about 250 bucks. on a stock truck there wont be more then 5hp between the two.

That is upsetting to hear considering on a ford web forum. livernois tuned a raptor with a 6.2 and they netted 23hp to the wheels with only a cai and their tune

I mean 5hp between a mail order or dyno. you'll prob gain around 20hp 25tq
