How much did you spend on bumper color matching?

It'll last as long as anything else that's painted on your truck. I have seen some chrome painted bumpers that look terrible but a good painter will tell you it's all in the prep, and chrome prepping is a bit more different and difficult to do, to do it right.

Thanks for the info, that's the route I will look into...Hopefully these rear "work" truck bumpers have provisions for the backup sensors...

Probably not, but the Denalis all have colour matched rear bumpers and those DO have the back up sensors, so I'm about 99 per cent certain if you ordered a set for a denali they'd come paint to match.

my nephew just got his chrome one painted and came out real nice!!
if it was me that's what i would do.. i mean ur buying a new set of bumpers to begin.. might as well try it and for what ever reason you dont like it then go ahead and buy the work bumpers.. just take it to someone who knows what they are doin and thats all there is to it... btw i think the guy here in houston charged him around 175-200, he just needed to take the bumpers off himself.. but came out real good.

If i was going this Route I would Look into powder coating, you know P/C is way tougher than Clear coat!
and The front bumper is gonna see lots of rocks!!!
I myself believe P/C is the way to go,anything you put on front is gonna take a beating!
Be sure to asks for a touch up bottle of paint while they got it out!

My white Sierra Denali held up ok to chips with factory color matched bumpers, I could install a 3m type clear bra material on the bumper to protect once painted... I need to do one for my hood anyway...
