How did you tighten it? Any oil added to the threads? Arp lube? Did it thread by hand good or no? What UD pulley is it?
Any chance you got the longer balancer bolt for LS7/9 cranks?
yea what brand pulley is it
powerbond came in a kit from sdpc correct part number for truck application. I tightened it in by hand a fair bit before using my 1/2" impact.
Is it same length as your old one, just a thought
I didnt compare.... as I should have. shit

I’ve seen this before when ordering a ARP crank bolt for a LS1 application and using it with a stock truck balancer. The bolt was slightly too long causing it to bottom out and galling up at the end of the bolt, basically friction welding the two together. In the gentleman’s case, he too suffered from the pulley not being installed far enough and was throwing belts faster than he could install them. Due to being galled in place, the bolt snapped off in the end of the crank and the sad decision was made to replace the crankshaft in his 5.3L, as drilling out the extremely hard ARP bolt became futile. I hope for your sake you can get the bolt back out without it snapping off.

How are you trying to take the bolt out? With the impact? Try a breaker bar and lock the flexplate in place
I broke 2 3" 1/2" extentions trying the breaker bar method. it will move a little then stops
