Hellwig 7800 + Rear Axle Flip

hey
will the Hellwig 7800 work with a rear flip kit, more specifically at 5"?

I read threw about four different threads about how great the 7800 is and in each thread people asked about a flipped rear and only one reply said "it should work" and that was based off the fact the end links are at their longest with the blocks removed

anybody know?

I've done three of these bars. With just 2" lowering shackles, even with the 2" drop the bars still have a upward angle to the links. Thats with the bars mounted slightly rearward on the differential and the links adjusted as far as they will extend while still being threaded far enough into the mating link. My opinion is even with a flip with a total of 5" drop the 7800 should fit just fine. There is plenty of room for adjustment.

you don't think being installed at the "incorrect" angle is hurting the performance of the swaybar on the lowered truck? I'm thinking about putting one on my truck and was talking to Kristina@Suspension Source and she wasn't sure how well it would work.

I think even with his 5" lower, his angles would be better than mine. The rearward part of the bar could probably go parallel with the frame. The way these bars and mounting hardware are designed they have a very large range of fitment. Hellwig may make another bar for trucks lower than 4". But I think it goes forward off the diff.

so the bar was upward with the weight on the suspension? did you happen to snap any pics?

I'm gonna fire off an email to hellwig cause i'm sure they'd know or at least have heard if it didnt fit

Yes the bar is upward with the weight on the tires. The end links have about four inches of adjustment and mine are let all the way out. I also have the bar rotated rearward on the diff. That raises the bar up just a hair more.
