the china studs were tested to be weaker than factory bolts.

A good aftermarket casting will do you well, personally I would keep the intake port in the 225-227 range to help with out of boost performance on a 383. What was your compression with the previous setup?

I agree they shouldn’t have lifted at 15psi. Something caused it besides just boost.
