Default Heads Gave Out, Pushed Water at 15 psi. New Cylinder Head Suggestions Please!

Hey guys,

Its been 2 days since my cylinder head blew and pushed water. I was racing and right after the race I noticed my steering wheel was heavy and knew that my car was off. Rolled to the side of the road popped the hood to see white smoke coming out the bottom.

Anyways fast forward we took the engine apart and gladly the rotating assembly is all good. One cylinder head cracked. Its a PRC stage 1 LS6. Those heads did me good for years but its time to change since my new setup is making way more power all over.

Mods: 2011 5.3 gmc sierra 383ci stroker (6.3L) with PRC LS6 stage 1, Callies compstar 4.00' stroke, Wiseco Forged Piston Set -15cc Dish, .675" lift dual valve springs, 80mm (t6) Borg Warner turbo setup, 4 inch downpipe into 5 inch exhaust, ID1300 injectors, Circle D triple disk converter 4000 stall and a Holley Hi-ram intake. Boost is 15 - 16 psi.

My question is, what cylinder heads should I go with at this point? I need 4 bolt ones with thick decks and a higher chamber volume to decrease compression. I think my current ones are 62cc. I need ones that are 70cc. Prefferably aftermarket castings Im sure you will all agree. I will post a video of an acceleration from my car when I get home.

Thanks and sorry for the long post.

Definitely step up to an aftermarket casting.

Maybe even consider a set worked over by some one.

I think Brain Tooley does trick flows

Mamo does AFR castings.

What sizes should I be looking at? Bore size is 3.903.

15 psi is low boost, shouldn't be any problem for stock heads.

Were those heads milled?

I still need input on what are my best options for 4 bolt heads that would eliminate the head lifting problems. Come on where are the experts??

I went with an AFR casting. But I wouldnt hesitate to use a Trickflow casting either.

I think a couple guys here have used the Trickflow castings on there turbo set ups.
