I think you should just go with a Dodge or a Ford! You're just giving our Chevy's a bad name. We'll se you at the finish line...............

Ram trucks have a disadvantage....no pcm tuning after 2011..so they are not really in the hunt for ultimate performance vs the others. Ford trucks are really nice imo, the motors are better than they ever have been, the ecoboost is what it is, I have seen them dip into the 13's with tunes and other boltons. Still stick with GM in the end though.

I hope the OP knows that vehicles tend to do these kinds of things when they get into accidents. The newer the vehicle, the more collapsible they become to keep their IIHS safety ratings high. They design the front ends to take all the violent force of the accident and lessen the blow experienced in the passenger compartment.

Do the exact same thing with the other trucks you mentioned and I'm sure you'd get similar results. Even the "almighty" SVT Raptor, which was being advertised as being able to handle mild jumps and higher than average offroad capability, will bend the frame and cause cab/bed interference and do more than just mess up the frame, then you got body work to go along with it.

I'm glad it sounds like you are sticking with a GM though. Everyone complains about the IFS, but my only issue with it is the small amount of front travel in the suspension.
