Hard to tell exactly why that is with out being able to see the complete set up, definitely could use some adjusting in the set-up.

bluecajun5.3 is right on in that with a flip kit it is best anyway to remove the overload and that would provide some more clearance.

If you don't want to remove the overloads then the Bellcranks need some massaging i.e. the Transfer Point and Pressure Point need to be about 1" further from the Pivot Point and then you would also drop the mount holes down another inch on the spring retaining plates.

This would give approximately 1 additional inch of clearance between the springs and the force transfer rods.

This is why I am leaning more towards building my own, so I can make them more application specific.

Why is it better to take the overload spring off? Been thinking of taking mines off but I have two questions...1) would that end up lowering the back more and 2) would removing the spring make the ride more bumpier?

Word. This would make you really low and would only make you bottom out more (if you don't have a notch)

It rode better for my friend that only had shackles on his truck but that was with 22s.

Ive put a set of these on. I just cut the overload to retain the rear have and removed front half so it quit rubbing the caltrac. afraid if i removed it, that the truck would ride lower. plus with out the overload at all the bar was really close to the other leafsprings with the rear part of the overload still in it spaced the mounting plate down allowing for more room between the bar and leafs. Works for install truck doesnt run yet so no input on traction at this point.
