If the tune is good then your not gonna have a problem with 5 and 7.
The stock intake is plenty unless you plannin on 1500+ hp :) |
The obvious question is what kind of failure did your engines have.
You must know what happened to the first one, do know yet what happened to the recent one? If they are 5 or 7 piston failures, you need a new tuner or there may some merit to the theories on boost and stock intakes. imho |

Meh..... The tune is the key to keeping things safe ESPECIALLY with boost. My friend and tuner runs 8's on the same engine using an LS6 intake for over 6 years now..... 1100 whp.... just sayin

Unless you're just set on spending money, I really don't see the 5/7 cylinder problems being an issue. If you did want to swap it out, I'd go with a FAST, though. I know fitment issues have been a big complaint, but that'd be my only option, because the whole 90 degree elbow/sheetmetal deal is not exactly ideal for low-end. Most cars (and trucks, if you run into them), turn serious rpm's that run those setups. |
I would have your injectors tested since you keep burning up the same cylinders.
