Default Flip kits

This is all still new territory for me.. I have been searching but no real answer.. I have been looking at flip kits for a while and i notice they come with rear shackle hanger brackets.. can a flip be done by just flipping the axle on top of the springs and run it like that ??? would using the brackets make it lower or raise it back up?? Truck in question is a 2010 gmc rcsb..

flip kit with stock shackle makes for a 7" drop kit, you'll have to notch the frame or you will always bottom out on big bumps/high speeds

flip kit and the shackle relocator set on the (bottome holes) and stock shackles is a 6" drop. add 2" drop shackles makes for 5" drop. all the bracket is for is to convert the shackle to a lift shackle setup

I have a flip kit question. Are some kits really reusing the stock U-bolts?

most reuse the stock u-bolts. there is enough thread on them to use them on a flip kit.

I've got the full belltech 4/6 on mine and it rides like a cattle truck. The rear softened up a bit when I put some winter weight in it but the front might as well be welded solid. HORRIBLE ride quality.

Belltech adj struts up front and belltech nitro shocks out back. It's literally a handful to drive over rough roads. I've never had a lowered truck ride so bad.
