Default flip kit vs drop springs adv/disadv

When going for no more than a 2/4 or a 3/5 what are the advantages and disadvantages of going the flip kit or drop spring route on the newer body trucks. Is it simply cost effectiveness or is there more? If some of you have one or the other what are your likes and dislikes of your setup.

I'm running a flip on mine and love it. You maintain the factory spring rate which in turn gives a great ride.

Don't tow with mine It will haul 400-600lbs here and there but not very often have a 3/4 for doing that it's only if I work myself into a corner and have to use it to haul.

I dropped about 4" in the back by shackles, removed blocks and overload. I had to trim my bump stops a good bit. Any more and i'd need a notch to maintain a good ride.

i just did drop spindles along with the 2" hangers and removed the factory lift block....Truck drives smooth without any problems..It does respond better when turning or changing lanes...I wouldnt drop it any more. I did belltech drop spindles and shackles..My wifes 09 crew cab sits on factory 22's and 285/45/22 bridgstones

The geometry of a flip kit is better for traction on a launch than using drop hangers or lowering leafs. From what I've heard, using drop leafs will make your truck ride like hell because of their higher spring rate.

So, if you're in the market for a flip kit, and you might drag race it in the future, that's the way to go.

The previous owner of my truck removed a leaf to drop the rear of my truck...ill be swapping to stock springs and a flip kit soon to get a better ride. I've never ran drop leafs but I would assume they would ride somewhere inbetween removing a leaf and a flip kit. If you see a white crew cab in college station that looks like its riding like crap down the road...thats me lol.
