guys i heard than when you reach 1k miles you do ur first oil change when there new... is that true or do i wait for more miles any of you guys know???

 

On a new motor, I like to change the oil after the first 500-1000 miles. It might be a waste, but I've wasted more than $12 worth of oil before. I even did it with my 6.0 as it was like new....under 100 miles when I got it. That's my 2 cents.

 

I usually change my new vehicles and motorcycles for the first time around 1000-1500 miles. This is also when I put synthetic in them for the first time. Ken
