Nope...just more astetically appealing behind the intake.

My truck is a 08 silverado that originally had a 5.3 , I plan on running a 90mm throttle body on the fast intake my question is will the ls3 throttle body be a plug and play , also would I need a gold blade or a silver blade ?

I had an 04. Tried the gold blade with a xlink mini optimized for the gold blade. Had a lot of trouble returning to idle but it ran ok at idle.

Gold blade is cheap. Silver blade is expensive.

I've run both with similar performance and results. Currently running a gold blade with no idle problems at all.

would you mind sharing what you did in the tune or who your tuner was?
Mine stalled out all the time. Tuner couldn't resolve. Went back to a stock TB and all the problems went away.

Alvin @ P CM of NC does all of my tuning. Both live when I make major tweaks and through the mail when I just swap small changes.

thanks man. i might call him up then. my tuner sucks. he is very slow and he can't seem to get rid of the bucking my cam says. he says it can't be done but I got my cam from Pat G on ls1tech and Patrick says there is no way that cam should buck.

Alvin was the only one that could solve the pre-detonation issue i was having a while back. Only one i trust with my tuning issues. Just fill out the tune sheet they have on their website with all of your mods and theyll square you away.
