Default bad stall converter???

I'm not sure if I'm posting this right this is my 1st post... but I have a 08 vmax sierra extended cab short bed and lately it's been giving me loud whine that goes up with the rpms and only in drive and in reverse... I have a cammed l76 vvt/dod delete stage 4 cam and in the trans I have a 2800-3200 stall. At first I thought it was the transmission pump but people told me it wouldn't move if that was the case so the only thing I can think of is a bad stall converter thoughts??

Was everything measured correctly when seating the converter on the pump? You just can't install without measuring these days.

Are you noticing any other issues like slipping lockup clutch etc.?
To check clearance, pull the starter and take the TC bolts off and see how far back the converter slips into trans. You want about 3/16" of pullout.

@warriorpluto @mean green z28 I done this install back in March... it hasn't given me any problems until now... it drives fine at times but the whine never goes away... occasionally it'll shift hard... and lately it's been a little sluggish on take off... also like around 30-50 mph my rpms will jump up and down and when it starts doing that I can hear a grinding like noise sometimes
