Better oil filter on 2011 trucks?

Thanks fpr the info Jonathon, the longer oil filter worked, gasket lined up and fit perfect. Thanks for the p/n's!

PF48 vs. PF63 equivalents in the Mobil 1 lineup are M1-113 and M1-212 respectively.
The bigger one is $2 less at our local parts vendor.

Yeh, that reminds me of the movie Tommy Boy! Chimp Labs manufacture for so many different brands, they must have 50 different colors of paint on hand! It's hard to find a quality filter now days. Depending on your driving habits factory style filters only filter about 10 to 15 % of your oil anyway. I don't use Amsoil but they have one of the best filtering systems on the market. I change filter and oil every 3K miles. If I was going to extend that milage I would install a better filtering system than the factories install. Just my 2 cents.

I use Amsoil filters. With the 63 filter I noticed the internals are different as far as how it seals or i think how it seals

Are you using their by-pass system in conjunction with their full flow spin on ?
