also what you intend to use it for, daily driving, strip machine.
are you interested in stall, gears?
you'll need a tune as well!

Daily Driver so whatever would be best for smooth driving and yes I already have a tune from diablew and would get re tuned. I will list what I currently have below. Thanks

Afe Stage 2 Si Intake
OBX Long Tube Headers with Cats
LS7 90mm Throttle Body
Corsa Cat Back Touring

EPS cam I run is very mild for DD use. Retains VVT, wont make the most power out there but its no slouch either. Its not AFM compatible but it is VVT compliant. 222/230 114 with PAC1518 springs. Nice DD cam with a bit of lope but you can probably live with a stock stall on it. Endurance lobes are stable.... SUPER stable and very nice for DD use in my opinion. Give up a little jam for more civility.

If you want to get a bit more gnarly and step up into something more aggressive thats not totally nuts or anything ( will need a small stall and a GOOD tune ) then go for something around a 228/238 or maybe even a 230/240 on on LSL or LXL lobes 113+2. Your going to have to do some diligence installing it making sure everything clears with ptv etc but when tuned up nice it will smoke

The tuner is key, hire the best, most reputable one you can find. Worth every nickle to have the tune done right.

Good cam spec guys are Geoff at EPS, PatG, Tick perf, Ed Curtis etc. You have to pay a little more but they'll get you sorted or you can run something like I suggested if you want to save the dough. They'll work great

Yeah those TSP VVT cams are good too, lots of happy campers with them. You'll need pushrods ( not "needed" but HIGHLY recommended ) and you'll need new valve springs. For the milder cams I like the PAC 1518 springs, for the bigger ones Brian Tooley duals but with bigger cams you need to change the springs more often. Check them once every 10k miles or so... big cams come with a lot of sacrifice if you want reliability you have to check up on them pretty often.

Thats about all you need for a basic cam swap unless your engine is AFM in which case you cant use any of the cams I mentioned you'll need an AFM friendly grind or delete it altogether. See the DOD delete sticky and the VVT cam swap sticky for more info on specifics
