Im thinking about keeping the stock 3.5" piping and go with either a touring or sport corsa muffler. The 3.5" maggy I have now is ok but not muscle sounding enough. I would definitely keep the factory piping however. It's probably good for 500+ anyways.

only exhaust thats factory on my truck is manifold to muffler which is just at rear of cabin. and once my headers come in most of that will be replaced.

I like my Magnflow. If it's not ''muscle'' enough sounding, go to a smaller one. I don't like Corsa's stuff. Too raw like there's no muffler. Plus, they're just like Borla, overpriced......imo. For another switch, try a Hooker Aerochamber. I've used thoe on my Cutlass and lots of customer's rides and they sound badass.

I'm running a hooker aero chamber now in 3 1/2" but I'll probably be going to a 4" exhaust

4'' is way overkill. A single 3.5'' is good for 500hp easy. 4'' is for f/i or big stroker motors. You will lose all power from 5000 down, where you use it most. You wanna gain power, run a 45 deg turndown on it. You eliminate 5-6ft worth of pipe and bends. The Aerochamber is not a restriction in any shape or form. Unless you plan on making 650hp, then stick with what you have.

in some cases 4'' is overkill but not with 6.2Ls i have dyno prove where i gained 21rwhp and 16rwtq with just a single 4'' exhaust cat back straight cross the grid im sure BrutalSierra would gain even more with that T-body he just got those headers and 4'' he will see BIG gains
