I bought a new set of sensors for my other wheels and can't get the truck to "learn" the sensors. What do I need to do?

I had the same problem. I ended up buying a tool on ebay and its all good now. You can take it to the dealer and have them do it. Some charge $20 or so and some will do it for free.

put it into learn mode either threw the DIC or with KOEO and holding the key fob lock/unlock at the same time till horn honks
then deflate
LF till honks
RF till honks
RR till honks
LR till honks
then it'll honk twice...now retrained...refill tires

if it doesnt honk within dropping like 15 psi continuously...that method wont work with your truck and youll need a tool.
the shop i'm at charges 19.99 to retrain tpms FYI

I tried the relearn 20 times or more. Would never read all sensors. Try it a few times and see if that works. If not call the dealer. The tool sends a radio frequency that activates the sensor. Takes literally a min.

Are the sensors tightend? I had a problem with mine when I switched wheels, turns out they were loose. Got them tightend and then did the relearn and they worked.

The old method will not work with GM vehicles built Jan 2011 forward, you have to have a reset tool.

Ignition ON, initiate the TPM Learn Mode using one of the following procedures:
On vehicles equipped with keyless entry, simultaneously press the keyless entry transmitters lock and unlock buttons until a double horn chirp sounds indicating the Learn Mode has been enabled. The left front turn signal will also be illuminated.
On vehicles not equipped with keyless entry, press and release the driver information center (DIC) INFO button until the TIRE LEARN message appears on the DIC display. Press and hold the SET/RESET button until a double horn chirp sounds indicating the Learn Mode has been enabled. The left front turn signal will also be illuminated.
NOTE: If learn mode cannot be enabled, TPM system is not enabled in RCDLR. See appropriate service information.


If using the J-46079, go to step 2 of the Scan Tool procedure above. If using the increase/decrease tire pressure method go to step 3 below.
NOTE: If a horn chirp does not sound after 35 seconds for any of the 4 sensors, turn ignition switch to OFF position to exit the learn mode. Repeat procedure from step 1.


Starting with left front tire, increase or decrease the pressure for 8-10 seconds, or until a horn chirp sounds. Horn chirp may occur before the 8-10 second pressure increase/decrease time period has been reached, or up to 30 seconds after the 8-10 second pressure increase/decrease time period has been reached. Once the horn chirp has sounded, the sensor information is learned and the turn signal in the next location to be learned will illuminate.
After horn chirp has sounded, proceed as in step 3 for the next 3 sensors in the following order: right front, right rear and left rear.
After left rear sensor has been learned, a double horn chirp will sound. Turn ignition switch to OFF position to exit relearn procedure. Adjust all tire pressures to specification. If the double horn chirp did not occur, repeat procedure from step 1.

its easiest just to use the tool, and it looks like that site offers it at a cheap price!

Mine would not do that relearn. That kent moore tool will have you fixed up in a jiffy.
