If i was a ford guy WHICH I'M NOT i'd be all over the Eco-boost! i seen with a tune and down pipe you gain 90hp! 2011 Ford EcoBoost F-150 picks up 90rwhp with Fastlane's tuning - YouTube

In the end it's still a v6 and sounds like ****, but turbos spooling can fix that!

I have also found this illustration showing fords engine torque curve

I believe these will be our biggest threat once the aftermarket catches up.

like the old saying goes.. Keep your friends close and your enemies closer!

I had seen this in the past and thought wow 90hp gain on the dyno.then dug further and found that tune picked them up half a second on the track, what ever it was it didnt equate to 90HP,maybe theyve sorted it out since

I thought I read that all the 6.2s from 2012 forward were coming with DOD.

The pickups are still the L9H motors, which are NOT DOD/AFM...

Damm that 6.2 won but that ecoboost was entirely too close for comfort. That ecoboost being that close to a 6.2 it would surely rape a lowly little 5.3.

Ford EcoBoost Vs Gmc Texas Edition - YouTube

And here is one where the GM doesn't fair nearly as well, even taking a jump from the start. More in line with what I have seen personally............

And considering it doesn't get absolutely raped and left for dead I seriously doubt the GM is a 5.3 truck.

Boosted launches in a Ecoboost equal lots of tire smoke unless of course you stick it in 4 hi, provided it's a 4wd.

The commentary in this video is retarded as is the Ecoboost driver, lol.

6.2 vs Ecoboost - Youtube

Here is a fair comparo of an Ecoboost doing a non boosted launch versus a FORD 6.2, not a GM. If you can't figure it out via engine noise the camera is in the 6.2, lol:

Same two trucks and the Ecoboost does a boosted launch:

And after owning a turd of a 09 Hemi I have to say I love listening to the guy in the Ram........ sounded just like me when I had mine. "It has no bottom end" and "Not even a race" sounds very familiar. I don't know what he has but mine with 3.92's and the LSD ensured I couldn't ever spin the tires either...... ever. The difference was I was racing a worn out Vortec 350 powered 97 Chev extended cab and losing by about 2 lengths from a dig....... I sold it shortly afterwards. But then you read on here and they are the fastest thing on the road right........

Note to self: In a drag race which may attain speeds in excess of 90 mph, do not carry three passengers all hanging out of open windows and waving video cameras. It's the aerodynamics, stupid.

I have 12 CCSB 6.2 2wd With tune and muffler I have no issues with the Eco boost or the Hemi.

Truck runs 13.9 on 89 fuel so I should pick up some next weekend after intake tube, filter and new 93 tune.
