NEARLY impossible, and EXTREMELY expensive!

You would think it would just plug into the harness like the NBS trucks do, and a BCM reprogram to make it work, but hell im not sure.

I have the bottom half of my dash apart right now trying to add pins to the BCM connectors.. There isnt any provisions for the factory trailer brake controller, and when i looked into buying one from the dealer they couldnt find one in their parts system anyway...

Just put one under the dash.. WAY cheaper

Was the factory trailer brake controller a standard option on the 1500's in 07? I don't recall it being one, I could be wrong.

I would think with the 09+ trucks it should be a simple plug and play pre-wired harness.

You would NOT believe how many parts have to be added / changed when adding the factory trailer brake controller.

I looked into it whe I bought my '08 - absolutely amazing! I do recall that even the brake master cylinder is different!

I believe the harness in the truck is specific to the trailer brake option. So that would be starters, with whatever else everyone's found additionally.
