Acceleration delay - 2009 5.3 6-Speed
#31
Have any off you guys noticed any type of delay when stepping on the gas from like a rolling stop or after a slow turn (when moving only few miles MPH.)
Not to be confused with the torque management.
When it happens to me it's like there is nothing going on with the engine or the transmission for like 2 or 3 seconds then you here the engine respond and the truck will usually downshift. But for those few seconds it's like the truck is reading zero input from the throttle.
Only think I found on this issue so far was at this website but they have no solution.

Does it go away in Tow/Haul mode? Mine does this when I'm in a certain speed/gear combination... it doesn't seem to know whether to downshift or to hang onto the gear and give it more fuel.

It's and intermittent problem so I can just go out and test it. however while it is happening I can mash the gas pedal to the floor and the truck does not respond but once it does the truck take the f*** off.
