6L80 & 6.2 shifts?
Just wondering how others trucks shift after a tune? Mine will chirp the tires on the 1-2 shift at 3/4 throttle and catch a hard 2nd under full throttle.
Thanks |
Same. But has a funny delay between shifts.

The 6L80 is very different from the 4L80...my 4L80 would hit hard in every gear, where as the 6L80 seems to need a little more time to catch the gear...1-2 shift is really solid and will give me a good bit of wheel hop at WOT...the 2-3 however is delayed, but then the 3-4 will hit hard too...this seems to be the norm with the 6spd...I have a couple buddys with them and even with different tuners we all shift the same...

Better be careful with that wheel hop on the shifts, you'll break internal parts.
Mine use to shift like yalls, now its a crisp shift with very little delay every shift. Also no chirping the tires, which is a plus for me. If your truck is banging the gears, chirping the tires....you are loosing time on your e.t |

My shifts are not delayed at all and I have never gotten any wheel hop on the street or track.

Chirping tires and what not is not good for that stock tranny!

I do use hpt, but you'd have to PM area47 bc he is the master mind behind my tcm tune
