As far as the bcm if you want the gauge cluster to work you may have to flash a 4.8/60e vin so the cluster will read P R N D 3 2 1 vs your D M. Thats in theory though.

Transmissions and Boost
Here is the thread, lasted 2 wks on boost..
I also agree with doin it right the first time and switchin to a 4l80 off the bat, but as Keniff said in theory you should beable to have it flashed as long as your dealership guys arent douches

Great info if I do the swap I'll make a little how too thread. I have an idea of what needs to be done now so will see. I'm thinking complete 4l80, modified trans mount. 4.8 or older 5.3 60e harness, Reflash bcm and ECM. I'm sure like anything else Little things here and there but think as long as I have the harnesses should be pretty straight forward. Looks like the hardest part is just the flashing and tuning.

You still have any of those 6.2 blocks laying around?

Once you get it up and running I need a ride when I come down there to go fishing

The ls3 I had in the truck is now a built 418 in my buddies vette. Thing is making over 800hp with a healthy dose of nitrous.

Lol Just call me up I'll give you a ride will get to that boat ramp quick!

Why a TH400? I would think it would be better 4l80 as it would work with all the electronics and handle just as much when built up right.

I've been asking around everywhere and i get mixed asnswers on this lol many shops claim a stock 6L80E is good for 800rwhp and they say go to a th400 over the 4L80E if ur going to make 1,000 plus and others say 4L80E can handle 1,200rwhp (BUILT) and ive seen looking at CHEVROLADE he is getting a TH400 built for his truck and waiting for how his comes out
