Id bet because no one has really pushed a 6L90e and there arent any stout aftermarket parts for it.

Absolutely true, I'm just too poor to be the test subject

Only one I know of is chevrolade but he hasn't pushed his any hard than a well built 60e could go.

Well I gotta say I put close to 600 through my stock 6l80 and haven't had a problem even with all the 4 hi runs I have done. Not to mention all the regular street abuse I gave it before I started my build. And mine is still in perfect working order not one problem. I just don't think it will take the same abuse with 1000+ pushing it. I'm really looking at just a proven bullet proof setup, I'll try the 6l80 setup later once the aftermarket has caught up. Oh and by the way the 6l80 and 90 once built up handle about the same the 90 just a bit more as it has room for an extra clutch pad ring in its packs. But other then that not much diff. Only reason to choose a 90 over a 80 is stock for stock the 90 is stronger.

Well I still think we should do the swap so I can get a 6 speed in my truck for a lot cheaper than I was expecting to spend
