6.2L Holley intake vs Edelbrock intake???
Ok need some feed back and opinions im going to start my new 6.2L build will be running stock heads and intake for now with the same T76 i had before so im going to start planning my end of summer setup which is a set of heads and up grade my intake manifold i have my eyes on the Holley EFI but i hear and ive read to do the Edelbrock "28455" (spider type) with an elbow vs the Holley any ideas why or IS the Holley the better intake???
Thanks in advance |
A guy local to me has used the Holley H-Ram on a couple of builds and according to him it loses power at low RPMs but is unmatched (up to 40hp gains) over 6000. I am shopping around at the various intake options right now myself and he was kind of trying to sell on one by saying the low end tradeoff would beworth it when I get my converter but I am looking for an intake that makes more power across the board, not just at a certain RPM range.

I say go with the holly hi ram, yeah you prob won't pull your truck too much past 6k but with boost doesn't really matter as your gonna be making power throughout the whole power range. I like the longer runners better but like I said with boost it really doesn't make too much of a dif. I was gonna go with the Holley on my 427 but since i went with PRC ls7 heads it doesn't fit.

I'm tempted to go with a FAST, but man if I spend 1500 on an intake, TB, and all that it takes to convert to a car intake then I would be pissed if I gained anything less than 30hp.
