Sounds really good to me will this cam fit a 2011 5.3 with vvt?

 

If you decide to get rid of the exhaust for something quieter I think you know who might be interested in it

 

Yea, I just don't think there is anything quieter that won't resonate. I'm not a fan of magnaflow, so that's out of the question.

 

It will fit in the engine, if that's what you are asking. All the VVT cams from any company use the phaser limiter to limit the amount of travel the phaser has.

For the 5.3, I would actually recommend the cam one size smaller than this. I think its a 210/224. BUT if you are open to other companies, I would also look at Texas Speed's offerings. You have to call because they still show no love for the truck guys on their new website.

 

Stock 5.3 exhaust and a cutout for when you want to play is about the only other option.

I know there are some big proflow mufflers.

 

How is your gas mileage since you installed the cam?

Texas Speed just recommended this cam for my 6.0 L76. What changes did you make for the idle airflow and idle spark tables in your tune? (If you don't mind me asking)

 

Over the years of reading posts on all different websites, an H/X pipe somewhere under the bed seems to eliminate droning in dual setups....... Go Gibson if not Magnaflow!
