Gonzo, I don't know the answer there buddy. But your truck is around 5500 by itself, so that would only leave around 5K for the trailer.

So, going by that, my truck weighs just over 5600 in daily driver form, plus 7K of trailer weight. That's 12,600 total combined. No problems here, besides the fact that the 65E wears out the 3-4 clutches every year.

I think if u want a mid 12sec truck go with a cam/head package with a good drivable converter and that would easly do it without breaking the bank vs doing the stroker

Tell me if im wrong, its less expensive to get a 285 HP 5.3 FI low 12s than a 6.2 A6 403 HP to do that? thats my beef

What would you do to make a 6.2 to run like your 5.3?

I will be a little let down if that "other" truck is a ford

False. That's what's decieving about my setup I guess. I'd say it costs about the same actually. Maybe less when you consider that you don't need major transmission upgrades or rear differential upgrades. Don't forget that the GMT900 is heavier than the GMT800.

As far as making power, I think the recipe is still the same. Blower, cam(properly spec'd), valvesprings, pushrods, re-gap rings(debatable, I know), injectors, headers, converter, traction, and TUNING TUNING TUNING.

I believe that with a little tuning at the track, Andy's truck would have ran 12's blower only, on the stock converter. Then drop another .5ish with a converter, then some more with headers. Eventually would have been mid-low 12's on the stock cam. Add the blower cam, valvesprings & pushrods, etc......then drag radials, proper gearing, traction bars, the list can go on forever. At some point you have to look at your 60 ft times and deal with suspension & gearing.

But none of that 3-4 clutch pack stuff applies to you, since you have that 6L80E.
