Wonder why in the hell magnaflow hasn't stepped up and built us an exhaust system these trucks have been out since 07'. They have them for the escalades and denali's already

I think the Escalade and Denali systems are still only 3" pipe. I want to see an aftermarket system that is 3 1/2" pipe with a stock style exit.

I know this is an old thread but did you ever get that sound clip? I'm giving this idea some thought.

How much power does a y pipe/single exhaust cost you vs a dual setup?

I'm contemplating whether or not it is worth it to try and do a 2.5" X-pipe true dual setup with magnaflow mufflers. The most modified my engine will ever be is headers/cam/intake.

Cost vs. power wise your better off with the Y pipe. Single in dual out or single in/out.

I just bought a muffler and dumped it. It is loud, and depending how loud headers make it when i get them i might run it out the back.

it's all preference and how big your wallet is...

True duals with Magnaflow and headers sounds so nice......at least it did on my GTO.

True duals are nice, but they are also a lot more expensive (and add weight, if that matters to you). I love the idea of having true duals too, but with the mods you are talking about you aren't going to get to the power level where your current exhaust setup will restrict your power. I'm probably going to stick with the factory configuration and just alter the setup myself. However, if you aren't satisfied with the options for single-in, single out or single-in, dual-out setups, then by all means, get the dual setup.

No headers since the trucks going to be turbo, plus I want to keep the truck a little on the quieter side for the "Sleeper" effect.

Deleted 3rd CAT and Flex-Pipe, replaced with 4" tubing.
Deleted Front CATS, replaced with 2.5" tubing.
Deleted Stock Muffler, replaced with Magnaflow 12909. (3.5" SI/SO, 22" Long, 5"x11" Oval)
Deleted Stock Resonator.
Dumped 4" Tip over rear axle.

Quiet at idle, quiet cruising down the highway (zero drone), loud at WOT.

Here is an idle clip with a few 5000 or so rpm revs.
