Default 5.3L with 4L60E Combo Swap for 6.2L with 4L80E (DOBLE THE WORK)

Doing double the work so bare with me. (interested i can post pics) I started dismantling the trucks friday. (im a technician, but dont specialize in GM products, thats why I need Help)

My Truck:

GMT-900 / 2007 GMC Sierra(single cab) 5.3L (AFM aka DOD) FLEX Fuel. 4L60E transmission- 2WD.
(does NOT have the module at the rear for fuel pump)

Friends SUV:

GMT-922 / 2007 GMC Denali/Yukon 6.2L (VVT) stock. 6L80E transmission- AWD
(DOES have module for fuel pump)

We are basically going to swap full engines (from top to bottom = intake, fuel rail, injectors etc. very simple. I delete the VVT of his 6.2L plus a tune (to delete the DOD / AFM) and he gets a Re-Flash or Tune to take in the 5.3L. Did the research thats all you need for a swap his SUV would be happy my truck would be happy no troubles. ( I need for both vehicles to work properly).

I had an idea, i offer my friend $500.00 for his 6L80E transs. and he gets my 4L60E, he said $1000.00, we maid a deal. Here it gets tricky. SO to change transmission i need OFF his SUV the:
1) Transmission & Converter
2) Engine Harness
3) Colum Shifter
4) PCM / ECM

Here is were i get confused... i read that you need the FUSE BOX(located in the engine compartment) as well.... yes or no? if yes then some of his stuff might not work, as well as on my truck because of change of fuse boxes.. right?

Also since mine is a flex fuel and his not. Might be impossible or hard to make them work since i dont have the module to run the fuel pump and his does...? or since we are swapping harnesses then his fuel pump module just transfers to my truck as well as with the pump and vice versa my parts to his SUV.

Or should I just ask for my $1000.00 back. Because is not worth the problems or hassle. and stick with the egine swap only.

was thinking of buying my friends AWD off his Denali as well. but if its too much just to do a trans. swap then the AWD is out of the equation.

ok finished swapping my 5.3L in to the Denali/Yukon, I decided that since i could not find a straight answer didn't do the trans. swap.

i know this is not the right place to ask .. had anyone tuned a 5.3L on a Denali/Yukon. Just need help in deleting the vvt and if i just copy and paste all the tables of the 5.3L in to the 6.2L PCM ( Denali/Yukon PCM) using HP tuner.

I gave you the answers in my thread
Also copy and paste everything in every table that is different over.

The codes can be deleted in the dtc an just turn the stuff off on the engine side

Already did that.. But the truck still does not turn on... It cranks over but no luck. . Checked fuel pressure. .. spark. .. i Think is the injectors not opening. .. Either is in the tune or not compatible. any tuner who is willing to check my tune out. It's all stock

I've got a crazy question... Why would your buddy want to take the 6.2 out of nali and put a 5.3 in it? On the other hand, looks like you fell into an awesome deal

So now you start over again with the 6.2? I'm sure you were making more power with all the mods on the 5.3, than you will be with stock 6.2.

True. . But if I do the same to the 6.2L. Of course it will be making more then the 5.3l... Besides the 6.2L is all aluminum. . Lighter. .. Jiji. .. Don't know by how much... But like the idea of having more liters. .. not really looking for a gas saver. . Just power....

Any who... i think I find out what was wrong with it... pcm is not grounding the injectors. .. already checked all grounds... so next thing is to used another pcm... hate to spend money like that...
