4wd-awd short crews 3/5 and lower driveline vibration solutions?
I know some of my threads are getting long in tooth over this same topic. But I really don't want to lift mine up higher to solve the driveline vibration on deceleration and speeds over 75+. I'm sure if we can come to a solid here's what you need to do it's going to help a lot more of us out.
If you are at 3/5 and lower on a 4wd or awd short crew and have no driveline vibration at all speeds or on decel what combination of parts are you using? Have you achieved your solution without lifting up the trans and transfer case which causes further driveline vibration while in 4wd? What methods have various people here used to solve their individual problems? My ultimate goal is 100% factory smooth at all speeds but it may be unobtainium. |
I was 4/7 and went back up to 3.5/4.5 cause o was having problems witht the driveshaft and even the transmission output shaft seal started to leak..cause of the driveshaft angle...

I have a 12 CC 4X4 down 2-4 and at 55-70 i have vibrations all belltech a 3* pinion shim didnt help im looking for answers too ?????

I'm in too! I have 3-5ish on ccsb and have raised thge transfer case, switched to DJM adjustable saddles blah blah blah and still get vibes. If I didn't already notch the frame I would just put it back stock:judge:

Well guy here it goes. The working angle of the shafts must be within 2 degree of each other to be right. If you have -2 degree in the front of the driveshaft and +6 in the rear. You have a problem.

I'm going to drop the transfer case back down tomorrow evening to get some base line pinion and driveshaft angles see how they compare against some of your trucks. I've tried dang near every combination of everything without going to a 1350 dual cardan joint off the back of the transfer case.
Anyone else I know theres way more of us in the weeds. Or is it just one of those things it never will be factory perfect and we either got to deal with it or lift it. |
