4WD alignment w belltech drop struts
I'm tired of my horrible turning radius with the MCG spindles and have decided to give the belltech drop struts a try and see how they work out. Reading through the instructions they state there is a possibility of the camber being out of OE spec without using 2degree upper control arm bushings to correct.
Those of you with 4wd and at 2 inches of drop do you know if they were able to nail the camber at OE for your or are they for sure going to be off and I need to order the upper control arm bushings. I want all the parts to do this once and right and be done with it and enjoy it. |
I'm 2wd and my camber adjust is almost maxed at 1" of belltech drop
An avalanche I did at work did the 2" and we used thebushings and it turned out perfect Caster will always be more positive then spec but that's just a fact with lowering plus its good for higher speeds haha So yes get the bushings When I have to do my upper ball joints ill be doing those bushings at the same time |
Do the bushings. Otherwise your alignment will be "borderline" at best.

I ordered the struts from summit 191 to my door.
I went ahead and ordered belltech 4957 kit. It's the bushings and the alignment eccentrics figured if all I need is bushings then great because it's my luck to just order bushings and then need the alignment eccentrics on saturday at 3 in the afternoon and not be able to finish the truck. |
Most cases you will only need the bushings. Extreme drops need the cam plates as well.
