Default 2013 Escalade Power step issues

Irractically goes up and down while driving slowly, stays down, doesnt come down, kinda does whatever it wants. Worked fine the first month of owning this(Bought used). Curious if there is a affordable or simple fix? Im about to just pull them off as im tired of hearing them actuate while driving when leaving parking lots.

Are yours wireless door sensors or wired? Check the door sensors and wiring for any issues.

I am finally on my way home. Im trying to figure out if they are wired or not and while I'm not back yet online most power step searches pull up the ones from amp. I dont see any sensor in autozones inventory for the doors minus the power door resistance sensor and I am thinking thats the hatch sensor and unrelated to the doors.

thanks
-Alex

if your door sensors are wireless, it’s probably the battery inside the sensor almost dead. Two screws and pull the cover/circuit board. It’s a button cell type battery, can’t remember what type it is now. Unfortunately I won’t be able to help if your door sensors are wired.
