2013 5.3l nnbs need help.

So guys been awhile since ive been on. After selling my 07 nnbs rcsb i ventured to a supercharged pony car but IM BACK!

Just bought a one owner low miles dealer maintained (dealership i work at) 2013 silverado 1500 ccsb with a 5.3 and 6l80. The truck is the xfe model with 3.08 rear gear and oem accesory 22's with 285/45r22 tires. This truck is a SLUG. What do i need to do to get this truck capable of moving out of its own way?

Im no expert, but im thinking that gear is WAY off for the 22's any ideas?

Needs 3.73's for sure with those really heavy tires. (that's just what I would run for a everyday driver)

I would have figured it would have atleast come with 3.42's.

Unfortunetly all xfe models come with 3.08. Im considering getting 3.73's but wanted some expert advise lol. Or some people who share similiar issues.

My 2011 4*4 crew came with 5.3, 6l80, 3.08s and chrome clad 20s. I bought it used with 8k miles and swapped to 4.11 gears at about 15k miles. I'd do it again in a heartbeat and would not go any lower. Drives way better. I gained about 1 mpg. This particular truck gets terrible mpg and I blame most of that to lugging during break in. Just a guess but I think it makes sense.

01ws6/tamu put 4.56s on his 6.2 6l80 crew with stock 20s and he raves about it. And that's his "highway truck", gets great mpg with it

I rocked 4:10s for a very long time. I went back to 3:42s to help on my long road trips. It didn't hurt in city too much, just makes for a slower 60' lol

Im leaning towards ordering some 4.10's sounds like i cant go wrong. Can i just throw in the gears and go or do i need to have the truck reprogrammed?

You'd need to have the computer programmed for the gear ratio change.
