As title states, white smoke out of the tail pipe. Truck is a 2013 RCSB 4.8, 63k miles. Doesn't smell like coolant or oil. No coolant in the oil, or vice versa. Mods are LTs & ORY, cat back, TSP stg2 truck cam, tune. Thinking blown head gasket... but going to tear it apart next Tuesday to see what is going on inside.

Anyone else run into something similar?

could be water vapor as the weather cools off

If youre not seeing loss of coolant or oil, I wouldnt worry about it

Not sure, friend's truck. But, it smokes even after the truck has warmed up. It started months ago, he parked the truck. Just now getting around to digging into it. I can assure you this, it is not normal. Does it at idle, and under anything more than light throttle.

Got it torn down, did not find anything wrong. Clean engine inside, no broken parts. No evidence of blown head gaskets.

Probably shouldnt have torn it down then haha. But what do I know?

Was it consuming anything excessively? Fuel, coolant, oil?

Negative. All fluid levels were good. Not all is lost... installing a larger cam and doing a set of ported heads while it is apart. Going to do a catch can at the same time.

He pretty much parked it as soon as it smoked the first time. Maybe driving it for a few weeks would have shown it low on oil or coolant... but the inside of the engine looks great. Hard to believe it was smoking like that, but saw it with my own eyes.

I wouldnt have torn it down. Was probably something in the PCV/Breather system. But hey, make some power and get the block decked for the new gaskets, party on!

I was against it, but not my truck. I am leaning towards PCV/breather too. I saw a truck smoke once when a catch can was hooked up improperly.
