I was supposed to swap it this weekend, but I've been thinking about how the stock 4l60e is going to hold up. Checking out my buddy's Nova at the track next weekend. He's pushing over 400hp at the wheels on a stock 4l60e. In the mean time, I'm going to dyno tune my truck as it sits now and use the time slips next weekend for when I pull mine and try to sell it.
If anyone has experience with putting up decent numbers on a stock 4l60e, let me know. I'm either going with an RPM transmission now or wait to see how mine holds up.

Alright, so I went ahead and pulled the trigger on an RPM Level VI 4L60E/4L65E/4L70E Transmission from Texas Speed and Performance (Links to the transmissions are under their respective hyperlinks). I'm not rich, which is why I was hesitating, but with what I have planned later down the line, I went ahead and called both RPM and Texas Speed..decided to go with the Level VI. Figured I'd make the investment now so I can afford all the goodies later.
Driving my truck back to Houston this weekend with the engine in the bed and hoping to make some good progress, if not completing the engine swap. Since I am keeping my original 4l60e until the new one comes in, I am swapping my stock torque converter back in. Then, I'll be flashing the ECM and TCM back to stock (is that how you would say it?) and seeing if it'll learn the L92 and putt along the 3 hour trip back home.
In the mean time, I will send my Circle-D 3000-3200 stall back to Circle-D to have them clean it up and restall to 26-2800. The higher stall kinda gets old with daily driving. Hopefully the new trans will come within the next few weeks and I'll be able to go back to Houston, make the swap with my rebuilt TQ converter, dyno tune it and really have some fun.
