20" tire size on 4/7 drop

i just picked up a set of centerline stingray III's in 20x8.5 with +19 offset. im tryin to figure out what size tire i should run on my truck with the 4/7 drop. stock ive got the 245 70 17's and would like to stay close to that. more meat is better if possible because of the god damn pot holes around here. ive done a search and cant really get any good info. id like something wider if possible also

let me know what you run.

your tires are 30.5", you could run a 275/45/20 which is 30", or 285/50/20 which is 31.2"...both would be wider...stock size is 275/55/20 which is 31.9"...personally I would go with the 285/50/20 myself

im on a 4/9 drop running 295/40 20's

Sorry, not trying to hijack the thread but aren't we (GMT900 guys) suppose to run 30+mm offset? The reason I ask is because I am looking at getting these same wheels and I am going to be running a 275/45/20 on them but thought I was suppose to get the +32mm offset?

275/45's on mine, and I'll be going with 285/50's on the next set

How about 265/50/20? It is 30.4 tall, just like your stockers.

if you want them to tuck inside you want the most positive offset you can get.

alright guys thanks. i was looking at all the sizes you suggested. just didnt know if i would run into any problems with turning or anything like that with the wider tire. as far as offset goes i thought +19 was the biggest they made on that wheel but i could be wrong. i got a hell of a deal on these wheels new so if i need more offset ill throw them in a mill or lathe and take some material off the back

Keep us updated and when you get them mounted, snap some pics

+30mm on a 24x10 with a 285/30R24 (30.73" diameter) and it barely tucks the front wheel/tire. I would *think* that with close to the same size tire, that a +19 offset is gonna hit.
