09 Sierra Denali 6.2 VVT What cam core

Hi there I'm looking into getting a comp cam for my truck and was wondering if I need 156 or 189 cam core. Thanks

according to the VVT Cam thread
your 09 should be a 189
I bet you could use your vin and call the dealer and ask what cam is listed

it would be the 189. ive got a dod/vvt cam for my 2012 5.3 and they changed it from a 189 to a 689 part number.
